Welcome to St Nicholas Group Practice would like to welcome you through this window in to our surgery. This website aims to provide up to date information relating to our practice and helps us to help you with the provision of health care information.

We are Merging!

St.Nicholas Group Practice would like to take the opportunity to inform our patients that in early summer 2018, we will be merging with Rosehill Surgery and Manchester Road Surgery.

We will become BURNLEY GROUP PRACTICE. All phone numbers, patient access etc. will remain the same.

This will not affect your care and we hope that this will improve your patient experience.

Patients will retain access to their usual doctor (subject to availability) and will have the flexibility to attend either St.Peters Centre or Manchester Road Surgery.

A Questions and Answers leaflet providing more information is available to collect from our reception team.

We strive to offer a high standard of care to all of our patients with professionalism and empathy.

We are informing you that you have a named GP who is accountable for your care. However, when making appointments you can still see any GP of your choice.

Please help us to improve our online services & further develop the website by providing feedback to us, or please help us to develop the practice by getting involved through our patient reference group.

Thank you for using our services.

The practice manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.
