CCG statement regarding extended hours appointments

We have merged

In early summer 2018, St Nicholas Group Practice merged with Rosehill Surgery and Manchester Road Surgery.

We are now BURNLEY GROUP PRACTICE. All phone numbers, patient access etc. remains the same.

This will not affect your care and we hope that this will improve your patient experience.

Patients will retain access to their usual doctor (subject to availability) and will have the flexibility to attend either St.Peters Centre or Manchester Road Surgery.

We strive to offer a high standard of care to all of our patients with professionalism and empathy.

We are informing you that you have a named GP who is accountable for your care. However, when making appointments you can still see any GP of your choice.

Please help us to improve our online services & further develop the website by providing feedback to us, or please help us to develop the practice by getting involved through our patient reference group.

Thank you for using our services.

The link above will allow you to complete an online form which will be emailed to the practice. Alternatively, you can use the Emis Access system. If you are not registered for Emis Access you can still send us your repeat request using the simple online form.

Repeat Prescriptions

medication4Repeat prescriptions are available for some long term treatments. Your prescriptions are printed by the computer. On the right hand side of the computer slip are details of your repeat medication. Please check these details are correct. When you need repeat medication, tick the items you require on the slip then order using one of the following options:

  • We do not take requests for prescriptions over the telephone
  • By posting through the health centre letter box addressed to the Doctors surgery. It will then ensure it comes to the surgery not the other health centre clinics.
  • Send your prescription by post enclosing a stamped addressed envelope and we will return the prescription to you.
  • Alternatively, you can order your repeat prescription directly through this site. Click on the link above and complete the simple registration form.

Please allow 48 hours from the time of ordering for the doctor to check and sign your prescription.

If you post your prescription please ensure you allow at least 3 days for postage 1 way or 5 days for 2 way postage. This will vary at Bank Holidays.

Medication review

Every 6 months your Doctor will request you attend surgery to assess your medication and make sure you have no problems. We routinely monitor over or under ordering of medication through our repeat prescription policy, therefore we may need to advise if you are ordering early.

Please ensure you order 1 or 2 days before your medication runs out (allow for bank holidays and weekends)
